After breakfast, depart for Arusha National Park, a diverse and scenic park located at the foothills of Mount Meru. Though smaller than other northern parks, it offers remarkable landscapes including open savannah, lush montane forest, and the alkaline Momella Lakes.
Begin with a morning game drive where you may spot giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, bushbucks, and the striking black-and-white colobus monkeys. The park is also rich in birdlife, especially around the lakes where flamingos are often seen seasonally.
Later, enjoy a guided walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger. This unique experience allows you to explore the wilderness on foot, getting closer to giraffes, zebras, and other herbivores while learning about plants, tracks, and smaller wildlife often missed during game drives. The walking safari offers a deeper connection to nature and spectacular views of Mount Meru.
