Affordable Ngorongoro and Serengeti Safari (6 days)

0

Start your adventure in northern Tanzania at the natural Ngorongoro Crater, an extinct volcano that collapsed millions of years ago, creating one of the world’s biggest calderas. As a result of this natural wonder, the fertile rich soils have Ngorongoro attracted incredible amounts of wildlife and birds, making this an important ecosystem and surrounds a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The transition between mountainous landscapes, forests, and savannah plains is abrupt in Ngorongoro crater, ensuring lots of pleasant surprises throughout your trip. Black rhino abounds in Ngorongoro, as well as almost all of Africa’s plains mammals. Expect to see tusked elephants, fancy flamingos, and black-maned lions on this leg of your adventure.

Your next stop is in the northern Serengeti national park, the most epic turn in the Great Migration’s cycle. Together with the Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya, this area of the world is the superior location to witness the wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles as they race to cross the Mara river in a show of courage, bravery, and sheer instinct. This huge movement of plains mammals attracts top predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as wild dogs and trumpeting elephants. It’s an animal bonanza and you get a front-row seat.

Equally as important on your trip is the chance to meet the guardians of Tanzania and Kenya; the Maasai people. Expect a warm and hospitable welcome from the Maasai and get to know their distinct culture and first-hand accounts of life in the African wilderness.
