Safari Nuggets was born at a time when the world was quietly finding its way back.
In 2021, just under two years after completing his studies at the University of Dar es Salaam, Lolarip stood at a crossroads—like many others. The COVID-19 pandemic had reshaped industries, paused travel, and reset expectations. But where others saw uncertainty, he saw a rare opportunity: a chance to build something new in a market that was starting over.
Travel was no longer just about movement; it had become about meaning, connection, and trust.
With no grand office, no large team, and no shortcuts, Safari Nuggets began from humble roots. What it did have, however, was clarity of purpose. From the very beginning, the goal was simple but ambitious—to create a safari company that genuinely puts the customer first, not just in words, but in every decision made.
Every itinerary crafted, every lodge selected, every guide chosen—each was guided by one principle: delivering experiences that matter.
As the company grew, so did its responsibility. Safari Nuggets quickly recognized that success in tourism is deeply tied to the health of its destinations and the wellbeing of the communities within them. Growth, therefore, had to be sustainable. Not rushed. Not careless.
The team committed to building long-term partnerships based on trust and mutual benefit. They chose to work closely with local communities, support responsible tourism practices, and ensure that every journey contributes positively to the environment and people who make Tanzania so special.
