Lemosho Route is the most scenic way to trek up the mountain and offers ease of acclimatization. This tour includes everything you need to cross this epic trek off your bucket list. Guides, porters, cooks, meals, and tents are all provided so that you can focus on the trail. This route circles Uhuru Peak, giving you a chance to see the summit from all angles. After your descent you will have an amazing safari to the Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater.

Itinerary

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will meet Safari Nuggets representative, and transfer to the hotel. The hotel will provide all the essentials for a comfortable stay: cozy rooms, hot water, polite staff, a swimming pool, and Internet access. In the evening there will be a briefing with our manager and chief guide, who will also make sure you are ready to begin the climb. It's essential to spend this time acclimatizing to the altitude and equipment check or rental before the trek on the next day. Your guides will be there to assist you with this. Your journey begins at Londorossi Gate, where you'll complete park formalities and meet your guides and porters. The trail takes you through lush rainforests, and you'll camp at Mti Mkubwa.

The trail ascends through the rainforest and into the heather and moorland zone. You'll reach Shira 1 Camp, nestled below the Shira Plateau, with stunning views of Kilimanjaro.

Hiking through the Shira Plateau, you'll experience the stark beauty of the alpine desert. The Shira 2 Campsite offers panoramic views of the Kibo summit.

As you trek towards Barranco Camp, you'll traverse through the famous Lava Tower. The Barranco Valley is known for its unique flora and challenging Barranco Wall.

The trail leads you to Karanga Camp, situated on a moraine ridge. This is a shorter hiking day, allowing for acclimatization and rest.

Hiking to Barafu Camp, you'll be above the clouds and close to the summit. Rest, hydrate, and prepare for the final ascent.

This is the day you conquer the summit! Starting at midnight, you'll hike to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.

The final day of your adventure sees you trekking through the lush Mweka rainforest. The descent is filled with relief and awe at your incredible accomplishment. Upon reaching Mweka Gate, you'll receive your summit certificates and be transferred to the Hotel in Arusha. Today’s Accommodation Options: Comfort: Tulia Retreat Hotel

Today early in the morning your guide will pick you at your hotel. You will be picked up at in 07:00hrs and start your amazing journey to the Tarangire National Park. This park’s game viewing experience is magnificent, it is famous for its large collection of baobab trees, spectacular large mammal population and variety of bird species, not to mention one of the largest concentration of elephants in East Africa. After an early breakfast, we will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a half-day safari tour. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephant. Another big drawcard to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopards, which sometimes require a trained eye to spot. We'll visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other waterbirds can usually be seen here. In the afternoon, you will start your drive to Serengeti and transit through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, entering the south of the park. Today enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti or a morning and afternoon game drive with a break and rest in between back at your safari lodge. You also have the option of a scenic hot air balloon safari early this morning at extra cost. The fabulous Serengeti is a singular safari destination in Africa. The oldest and largest intact land-based ecosystem in the world, the Serengeti is celebrated for its wealth of leopard and lion. Serengeti, meaning ‘endless plains,’ is home to the largest annual overland migration of mammals in the world, with over a million wildebeest, 200,000 zebra, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles along with a range of other antelope species gradually undergoing an over 800-km long trek seeking new grazing grounds. Go on a morning to early afternoon game drive in the Serengeti. Enjoy wildlife viewing within the Serengeti National Park as you gradually make your exit to return back to Mto wa Mbu in the late afternoon. Departing the park, you have several optional visits available at extra cost, either to the Olduvai Gorge or a Maasai village (or both). After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park’s namesake is a shallow, Salt Lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other bird species. You may see baboons and elephants in the park’s thick evergreen forest, and watch out for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa. You will have your picnic lunch in the park and after your game drive, you will say farewell to your guide. You will be dropped off at a place of your choice i.e. Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport.
